Abstract
In the last years, the Data Fabric approach has increasingly established itself in the creation of data architectures to ensure the simplicity of access and sharing of data in distributed and heterogeneous environments. Gartner expects a further diffusion of this paradigm in 2022 to meet the ever-growing needs for data management solutions.
The goal of the Data Fabric is to define an ecosystem that appears as a unique environment to users, transparently supports the needs of multiple use cases, and encourages self-service interactions.
Its implementation is based on data centricity, favored by the use of neutral formats to enable various use cases. It is also made possible thanks to the cooperation of various technological components organized into layers, each responsible for a specific capability, which covers the entire data life cycle, from sources to end consumers.
What we will talk about
In this webinar, we will discuss how to create a modern Data Fabric by using the opportunities offered by the cloud.
We will talk about the characteristics of this type of architecture, its advantages, and differentiating factors. In particular, we will see how, among the various types of data ingestion and products used to feed the Data Fabric, Qlik Replicate can be a useful tool for real-time data ingestion in the Data Fabric by extracting data from different types of sources, without causing degradation to their performance and with ease of implementation.
Thanks to the wide choice and flexibility of the products offered, AWS’ cloud allows the integration between the layers of the Data Fabric with agility, reduced costs, and support for different types of storage and workloads. We will see together through a short demo how to easily migrate data between a relational and an analytical datastore using AWS and Qlik Replicate.
