We conceive Data Governance as a process, not a project. It must be continuous and cannot be reduced to a one-time activity, but rather integrated into the business processes. To achieve this, it must be:
- Sustainable: The changes made to the business processes must be stable and long-lasting so that the benefits are too.
- Embedded: It should not be implemented as an additional process, but rather incorporated into existing processes for it to work.
- Measurable: The benefits and value provided must be tangible and measurable, both to gain the commitment of process owners and to enable a process of continuous improvement.
Over the years, attention to this topic has grown significantly, and in more and more projects, we have been able to assist our clients in building and evolving their Data Governance frameworks.
